I was a dancer at the Gaiety Burlesque in Times Square in the late 1970's, and while I preferred the illicit crowds in underground downtown clubs, I must say it was exhilarating to be swept through the crowd outside Studio 54 with my other dashing dancers when I was all of 18yrs. with complimentary admission. I saw so much of celebrity faux-pas, but considering my profession as a male hustler/stripper, who was I to judge. Read more about details of my addictive life of hoofing in all the best clubs for 3 decades: the Gaiety, Studio 54, the Gallery, Flamingo, 12 West, Hurrah, the Anvil, Crisco Disco, Paradise Garage, the Saint, the World, and Sound Factory...in my book "Homo GoGo Man: a fairytale about a boy who grew up in discoland." by Christopher Duquette. google where it can be found.
