Is she reading the script proposal for Stone Pillow?

An acquaintance installed new locks in Lucy's upper East side apartment in the early 80's.

"Did you see her?" I asked.

"No," he said, "but I heard her call out from another room."

"What did she say?" I asked, hoping for some dishy, inside gem.

"Gary!" he said, affecting a throaty growl, "bring me a grilled cheese!"

So much for showbiz glamour...

Is it possible that this is just a studio set? I had understood that her NYC residence was 211 E 70th Street (with the covered drive through to 71st for private auto entrance & exit). Joan Crawford also had an apartment here in her last years.

????????? I suppose it could also be a friend or colleague's apartment or a hotel suite. I never was set on the impression that it's her home but there was no caption to the image when I saw it.
