It's true, Judy just could not have been nasty enough, but the thrill of hearing her proclaim "Broadway doesn't go for booze and dope...." with a straight face would have made it all worthwhile.

Wow neat! This is a really great site! I am wondering if anyone else has come across something
like this in the past? Keep up the great work!

Man, I just found your blog and WOW. I'm so impressed!

I may be stealing some ads from you, but I'll give you credit!

Great work - I'm still going thru your past posts.

I agree. Just look at that frail little body language. Susan was a good bitch on screen but I suspect Judy was one off of it, I bet she was ferocious under the influence of a stupor. She might have even harangued her way into more screen time and more songs. Why I’m almost certain they would have written one especially for her entitled, “Broadway Doesn’t Go for Booze and Dope”.

Barbara my love, welcome aboard! Oh, and steal away. I prefer to think of it as 'becoming inspired to the point of wanting to pass it along'.

Miss J is inclined to agree with Miss Norma... But wouldn't have been a thrill & a half to see Miss Judy go there???

I agree with Desmond and MrPeenee; Judy's fragility would've made the restroom scene more tragic and less camp.

Now Judy in the role of Neely, now that would have been spectacular!
