For Eva....
My dear and luscious friend L'il Eva has cautioned me (and rightly so) for my lack of Barbara Stanwyck coverage. Like I need an excuse to gaze upon the wonders of Missy!
So here is a beginning to my amends darling:
Funny, I always thought the first shot was merely a crop of the second. But what's this! Slightly different angle of the head - and completely different background.

OK, that top picture of Barbara? Beautiful. I never cared for her acting - she was to "flinty", too clipped, too harsh. But the Bara in that top picture is one I could get behind.
One can never have enough Barbara Stanwick in my opinion... Jx
were the hell is she gonna wear that on the ponderosa? hardly cattle-branding attire.
Whether in the west, a pre-Code office building or on a burlesque stage, Stanwyck made herself at home. Unquestionably the most versatile of the classic Hollywood actresses, and in my personal top three overall (trailing only Lombard and Loy).
