So They Say...

Born On This Day...

"I am one of those people who just can't help getting a kick out of life—even when it's a kick in the teeth." - Polly Adler, US Madam

"Two members of the acting profession who are not needed by that profession, Mr. Ronald Regan and Mr. George Murphy, entered politics, and they've done extremely well. Since there has been no reciprocal tendency in the other direction, it suggests to me that an actor's job is still more difficult than their new ones." - Peter Ustinov

"I wouldn't know how to handle serenity if somebody handed it to me on a plate." - Dusty Springfield

Happy birthday to Dusty, maybe she and Peter Ustinov can share a cake. Because they deserve one. That other guy too, I guess. But I bet He doestn't have a hit record. Oh well, I have love to go round.

I think DUSTY IN MEMPHIS is a a perfect album... I love her so much, she is a real favorite & she was gay. I neglected to do a post on her birthday... & now I have to wait another year.

Good for you to have remembered!
Great post. I remain your devoted fan.

My Dusty, the greatest female pop singer of the twentieth century.

There was nothing uncomplicated about her. Can't believe that she died more than ten years ago.

Would she have been discovered on American Idol or Britian's Got Talent? Hard to say.
